to save our oceans we need to take responsibility together

Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA)

SOA is an organization based in the heart of Silicon Valley in San Francisco led by Daniela V. Fernandez and her dream team. Daniela was named 2019’s Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Friends of Ocean Action.

Circle of Sustainable Europe (CoSE) partnered up with Sustainable Oceans Alliance (SOA) to develop a Benelux Oceans Hub – Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. We are going to recruit more expertise, leaders and action takers when it comes down to cleaning our oceans and make sure pollution is something to be anticipated.

In alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal Number 14 ‘Life Below Water’, established during the Paris Agreement to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development, SOA creates and CoSE supports the solutions to the ocean’s largest threats through our two programs:

  • Ocean Leadership Program
  • Ocean Solution Accelerator

The Maritime Forum

Circle of Sustainable Europe is also stakeholder at The Maritime Forum (TMF). The Maritime Forum aims to improve communication amongst EU maritime policy stakeholders. It allows parties interested in the EU maritime policy to communicate on a common platform. They can publish events, documents and follow developments in their areas of interest. Information can be shared amongst a closed community or published openly. Anybody can register to the forum and comment on its content.

With our Sustainable Oceans Benelux we are connecting researchers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, parliament members, and other relevant groups that are affecting our oceans and maritime environment at such a level that combining their forces of knowledge, skills, technologies and resources can face certain challenges with a greater change of solving them.
