Joelle Kouba
Graphic Designer for Sustainable Architecture
My name is Joelle Kouba, I’m 24 years old. An architect by profession and an artist by passion.
My passion for art has always led me to adopt a lifestyle that makes everything around me more beautiful, efficient, enjoyable and beneficial. In other words, I don’t just consider myself a creative and innovative person; I adopted it as a lifestyle. I studied architecture at Damascus University, and from my early academic years, I worked as an interior designer at Ficta Qatar. I am now focused on preparing for my master’s education in Europe.
As a volunteer, I worked as a graphic designer for several charitable events, including the Khalilak initiative, which is dedicated to assisting the visually impaired and helping them integrate into society.
However, I didn’t stop there—my passion drove me to further develop my skills in fashion and pattern design, and therefore I followed a course at ESMOD Syria. My goal in volunteering at CoSE as a graphic designer is to provide sustainable and eco-friendly solutions in architecture that align with the authenticity of the place, its structure, or the cultural and traditional concepts it is built upon. I believe that it is an inseparable part of my identity as a citizen living in the oldest inhabited capital in the world, Damascus.
I look forward to contributing creative, innovative, and practical ideas in content creation for CoSE to enhance our daily lifestyle.
