Marine Biologist | Bridging research and policy
Driven by a fascination for the natural world, Lucie completed a degree in Zoology at the Royal Holloway University of London (United Kingdom) to gain skills to effectively conserve the environment. Growing up with a passion for the marine world, she then went on to do a Masters in Marine Biology and Ecology at James Cook University (Australia), followed by a Master’s by research in Marine Governance at the University of Cambridge (United Kindgom). Lucie has gained an extensive understanding of marine ecosystems and conservation tools to tackle marine issues. She worked on various continents, and now back in Belgium, she founded the Sustainable Ocean Alliance’s Belgium Hub and co-founded the Benelux Hub. She aims to bring awareness on ocean issues and solutions in Europe, and is now a member of CoSE to promote initiatives and ensure future generations have a thriving ocean.
